The Best Task Management System for Creative Entrepreneurs

Honestly guys, there is one simple and must have tool that I depend on to run and ORGANIZE my business. Yes, 17hats is the best to actually run my business, but to organize myself and my business, I count on Asana. Asana is the FREE work management platform that teams use to stay focused on the goals, projects, and daily tasks that grow business.

That’s their tagline but it is so true and so clear. They have a task management platform that houses everything for us. Our content calendars, editorial calendars, blog ideas, schedules for client tasks, campaign tasks and all other projects internally or externally that requires more than two tasks and even more than two people. It’s also perfect for teams simply because you can add individual members to your projects team without them seeing your entire company’s projects. It’s also perfect if it’s just you on your team! I started this way and slowly learned I needed this system in home life as well as for work.

We add clients to their project boards inside our Asana so they can see where they are in the process of their project with us, housing all of their homework AND ours. There are no emails about where we are on this task or where the file is to this… It’s all housed inside of our Asana.

We stay on track but are also transparent with our clients about our process and where they are in theirs. This builds trust as well as professionalism. Things don’t get lost, emails aren’t booted to junk and questions get answered all inside one platform. This is a must have if you are a creative since there are so many other aspects to just the production of your product or service. There’s also the management of your company, the tasks to run it like paying bills or even running a social media campaign. Marketing tasks or event tasks can be housed there. The sky is the limit with the amount of things Asana can do!

THE BEST PART IS THAT IT IS FREE!! I have used Asana for over two years and have still not upgraded. I’m sure we’ll get to the point where we will need to but, it has been so beneficial at the level we’re in now, we just don’t need to pay for the upgraded options.

I firmly believe in being as cost effective but also as efficient as possible. This is just one of those things that has an awesome free plan but I would absolutely pay for this package if I had to. It has been a game changer and also such an easy way to organize and eliminate confusion in my business!
